OSEP ideas to support learning during COVID-19

Updated: Oct 16, 2020

This week I attended a webinar from the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). It was the third and final one in a series. In the webinar, OSEP provided a lot of helpful links and resources for parents and schools. Here is a link to their website: https://osepideasthatwork.org/continuity-learning-during-covid-19-resource-database

OSEP has a specific section for parents called Supporting Learning During the COVID-19 Pandemic which “offers practical tools and easy-to-implement tips to help children learn at home during the school shutdowns caused by COVID-19.” It includes “strategies to help parents get children ready to learn; support reading and mathematics instruction; promote children's social and emotional wellbeing, and help struggling learners and students with disabilities.”

Also all 3 webinars were recorded and are accessible from their website. https://osepideasthatwork.org/continuity-learning-during-covid-19
